ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Carla Spinoza (Bolivia) is a visual artist and researcher with a background in Sociology, Documentary Photography, and an MA in Visual Cultural Studies. She describes herself as ``a territory in the making,`` inhabiting an interdisciplinary space of experimentation between the arts and the social sciences. Her practice is grounded in what she calls artography - an intersection of artistic creation, writing, and research that gives rise to hybrid forms of embodied and affective knowledge. She works with bodies, emotions, and memory, exploring processes of subject formation and decoloniality through a situated perspective. Combining image, text, and archival materials, her work has been presented in independent, academic, and cultural spaces.
