ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Born in Córdoba (Argentina) in 1962. She graduated from the School of Arts of the National University of Córdoba in 1987 as a Higher Professor of Education in Plastic Arts. After many years dedicated to painting, she began working in mosaic in 2010. Since then, she has carried out educational mosaic projects and taught basic and advanced mosaic courses both in Argentina and abroad (Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, France, Poland, Croatia and Germany). Starting in 2020, she dictates an online mosaic portrait workshop, in Spanish and English, for students from Argentina and abroad. She has made two solo mosaic exhibitions in Córdoba (2011) and Unquillo (2012), besides participating in exhibitions and collective projects in Argentina and internationally in Chile, Brazil and Italy. Among them, in Córdoba (2012), Santiago de Chile (2014), Vicente López, (Argentina, 2014-15), Rosario, (Argentina, 2015), Curitiba, (Brazil, 2017), Buenos Aires (2017-18), Udine, (Italy, 2018), La Plata, (Argentina, 2019), Sardinia (Italy, 2020), Córdoba, (2022), Buenos Aires (2022), and in Patagonia (Argentina, 2023). Adriana also works on request for individuals and building consortiums.

Visible reality is her main source of inspiration, and it is what structures her work. In her words, “I stop at something I see, I document it, and then I transform it through a process that involves photography, digital tools or drawing, until I arrive at a sketch that will be the starting point for a mosaic or painting”.
