I am told I’m the mother of nations, I have given birth to Kings that are yet to be, I have given birth to daughters yet to be unloved, unappreciated, and disregarded. Knowing this so well, I’m not fearful, l will give birth non the less. My hope is not only to pass on my blood but to pass on my strength and love that my daughter can find a true sense of love within her, to be able to love herself, and to know that she comes from a long line of Queens. I want her to be able to stand on her own and say “She is, who she says she is.”
