Series’ Statements:
When You Don’t Play
This series reflects on what happens when play disappears from our lives. Without it, joy, curiosity, and imagination fade, leaving behind stress, rigidity, and the heavy mask of seriousness. Through these paintings, I explore this quiet transformation and how humans lose their softness when they forget the necessity of play. These works are both a warning and a reminder: play is not a luxury but what keeps us alive and whole.
How I Dance
This series celebrates life as movement, a dance of constant change. Each figure embodies both movement and stillness, carrying within them the duality of freedom and surrender. The figures flow with rhythm, reminding us that to live fully is to adapt, to bend with the currents, and to find grace in the flux rather than resistance.
Growing from Within
In this series, I explore the tension between confinement and inner expansion. Our world is shaped by boxes- books, televisions, phones are structures that feed us but also enclose us. These works reimagine the human portrait in a vase, a vessel of openness in a world of boxes. The multiplied eyes, noses, and mouths reflect the many selves we embody in different spaces. These works remind us that true growth begins from within, expanding beyond the structures that confine us.
